Installing PHP4 for Windows

1.     Double-click on the file called php-4_0_0-Win32.exe.  A dialog box will open, prompting for unzip confirmation.

2.     Change the unzip location to C:\php4\

3.     Click on Unzip the files.

4.     Confirm the action by clicking on OK.

5.     Click on close.

Organizing Your Installation Files

1.    Using Windows Explorer, go to the C:\php4\ directory.

2.    Rename the php.ini-dist file to php.ini.

3.    Move the php.ini file to C:\WINDOWS\ or C:\WINNT.

4.    Move msvcrt.dll and php4ts.dll to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM or C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32.
