Introduction

Module 8 describes the remaining detail diagrams in the Test Workflow. We covered the following Workflow Details  in:

  1. Module 4 Define Evaluation Mission
  2. Module 5 Test and Evaluate
  3. Module 6 Analyze Test Failures
  4. Module 7 Achieve Acceptable Mission

The remaining Test Workflow in Module 8 are about the additional workflow detail practices to help make the Project and Test team's iterative testing effort more successful. The other three are:

  1.  Verify Test Approach
  2. Validate Build Stability
  3. Improve Test Assets

Objectives

In Module 8: The objectives in workflow detail, Verify Test Approaches', is how to achieve appropriate breadth and depth of the test effort to enable a sufficient evaluation of the Target Test Items. The concept of sufficient evaluation is governed by the Test Motivators and Evaluation Mission. The additional practices to help make the project and the test team's iterative testing effort more successful in order to complete the project's requirements are:

  1. Identify the remaining workflow details of the RUP Test Discipline
  2. Identify some additional key practices for successful software testing
  3. Understand the testing workflow in the context of an Iteration
